passing.
last week a friend, Janice, from my christian group back in sydney passed away, she was battling against cancer.
since then there have been messages and posts on facebook, twitter, various blogs regarding her passing; and since then i’ve been trying to think of what to say in response or even whether saying something would be appropriate or not.
after taking communion at church this morning and reflecting; the one word that really came to me was ‘peace’
peace knowing that Janice is now at rest and she’s partying it up in heaven with God
peace knowing that the pain and suffering she endured while on earth is no longer with her now
peace with her family, knowing that Janice is with her eternal father
and peace knowing that one day they will see their eldest daughter/sister again
knowing that our loved ones who were on earth in pain is now with God and are no longer in pain; and knowing that one day we will join them in heaven - i really do think this is amazing
i guess with any death there is sadness but i honestly truly believe that there is joy and happiness as well
